The Mikvah Project
The exhibition “The Mikvah Project” presents fascinating insights into the meaning of the ritual bath for women today with poetic images and interviews. In a project lasting several years, the writer Leah Lax and the American photographer Janice Rubin examined Jewish women’s relationship to the requirement of ritual cleansing. The exhibition impressively shows the different attitudes of Jewish women towards the cleansing ritual, their own bodies and sexuality.
